Mayleeya's Thai Restaurant in the Porongurups is situated on a bamboo farm and The Lily, just north of the Stirlings, is a perfect replica of a Dutch windmill set on a rolling pastoral farm.

CHARNIGUP FARM BED & BREAKFAST is 23 km from historic Albany, the earliest European settlement and the oldest town in Western Australia as well as the departure point for Anzacs leaving for Gallipoli. WA's oldest farm, Strawberry Hill Farm, is a National Trust property, open to the public. Enthusiasts of Australian history will appreciate the role played by Albany in early explorations by navigators and botanists such as Joseph Banks, Matthew Flinders and a visit by famous evolutionist, Charles Darwin.

Other interesting places to visit include the Old Gaol, Residency Museum, the Amity Brig replica, the Forts historical precinct, The recently established Wind Farm demonstrates the local community's commitment to clean, green energy and has become a very popular tourist attraction. Whaleworld incorporates a fascinating museum of this now banned industry and is located on spectacular coast where you can experience the forces of nature at The Blowholes and The Gap. The magnificent King George Sound can also be explored by taken a harbour cruise which includes visiting the site of the HMAS Perth dive wreck.

There is hang gliding in the Stirlings, you can take a short trip to visit Mount Barker and its unique Banksia Farm and absorb the rural atmosphere of this typical country town.  For the fit, try our hill walks including Bluff Knoll in the Stirlings and Nancy's Peak in the Porongurups. However, there are many other walks of different lengths and levels to cater for all needs.

Take a day trip to Bremer Bay, a lovely little coastal town; visit the 'hot-spot' biosphere Fitzgerald River National Park where excellent sightings of calving whales are possible in the winter months.

If you feel like staying home you are welcome to use the barbecue or mini-kitchen to prepare your dinner.
